Hey, I'm Muhammad Raufan Yusup.
I'm a Tokyo-based product designer currently working in AI New Business Division at Cybozu. Over the past 12+ years, I've designed products for people across cultures at UNIQLO, SmartNews, tiket.com, and Tokopedia. These days, I'm experimenting with AI to bridge the gap between design and engineering as I grow into a design engineer.
Design Engineering Experiments
-
arsip — Paperwork Organizer.
A macOS and iOS app to store your documents, then reuse them for every bureaucratic process—all in one organized, private place.
-
Riso Kit — A browser-based halftone gradient toolkit.
Shape print-inspired gradients live, then export them as PNG, GLSL, React, or CSS.
-
Tokyo Transit Map — Cartography with uncommon care.
A hand-built study of Tokyo’s rail network, down to every line, interchange, and moving train.

Longer stories that shaped how I think about design.
I'm a Tokyo-based film photographer. My work explores change, the mundane, and the beauty of everyday life through a contemplative lens. I've published two photobooks and exhibited in solo and group shows across Tokyo. I also make films on YouTube, write on Substack, and share my love for film photography through Shoot It With Film and Notmegapixels.
